Transvaro Elektron Aletleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş was established in 1988 as a joint venture between Varo Inc.  the largest Night Vision System producer in the U.S.A and Transanka of Turkey. Since the beginning of 1995, Transvaro has operated as a wholly owned Turkish Company.

Transvaro is the company designing and manufacturing the thermal and night vision devices as well as IR / Laser products. Transvaro is also experienced in the assembly and repair of the Image Intensifier Tubes (18mm and 25mm).

Transvaro manufactures Thermal and Night Vision Devices, IR / Laser Devices and Optic Components at Halkalı facilities in Istanbul and provides services for the Turkish Armed Forces and Security Forces while it exports several products.

In addition, it has successfully completed the turnkey projects such as Simulation Systems / Centres and Electronic Time Fuse.

Apart from the production activities, Transvaro has been dealing with turnkey projects for Electronic Security Systems.

The quality system developed by Transvaro complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and AQAP-2120 Standards as certified by ABS Quality Evaluations (ABS QE) and Department of Quality Management of the Ministry of National Defence. In addition Transvaro holds the certificates of ISO 14001, OHSAS18001 and Facility Security Clearance  Certificate issued by the Ministry of National Defence.

    1988

    Establishment: Transvaro  was first established in Istanbul in 1988 with the partnership between the Turkish Transanka A.Ş. and American Varo INC. in order  to meet the requirements of Turkish Armed Forces and Security Departments for night vision products.

    1992

    Recently Constructed Facilities: Transvaro brought into service a contemporary facility at a closed area of 5000 m² in 1992.

    1994

    Mine Detector Production: Transvaro commenced to manufacture metal mine detectors  in 1994 in technical cooperation with Schiebel/Austria.

    1995

    Target Pointers: Transvaro designed and manufactured the first laser target pointers which has 3 different models today in 1995.

    1996

    Marksman Shooting Simulator: Transvaro installed and delivered the Virtual Target Marksman Shooting Simulator developed by Transvaro to Turkish Armed Forces in 1996 through 1997.

    1997

    Fuse Production: Transvaro brought into service the electronic time set fuse production line for the 155mm ICM ammunition in 1997 through 2000 and 63000 pcs fuses were manufactured at this particular line of production and thus delivered. Time Setter Device were developed, manufactured and delivered to the users along with the fuses.

    1998

    ZMA and Tank Simulators: Transvaro established and delivered on turnkey basis an Armoured Vehicle Training Simulator Center and M48 / LEOPARD-1 Tank Training Simulator Center to the Turkish Armed Forces in 1998 through 2000.

    2000

    ERYX: Transvaro took part in the project for the production of  ERYX Antitank Weapons between 2000 and 2004  and undertook to perform final assemblies and testing processes.

    2004

    Cable Groups: Transvaro manufactured cables for 4 ea Mine Hunting Vessels, 2 ea Frigates and Communication Console for 1 ea Fast Patrol Boat and delivered them upon assembly of the same  at facilities of the Prime Contractor in Germany.

    2009

    Thermal Vision: Transvaro designed the first Thermal Weapon Sight in 2009 and manufactured and delivered 3500 ea in 2009 through 2011.

    2011

    Chemical Heaters: Taking into account the militaristic requirements Transvaro developed chemical heaters for use on the troops to heat the food without facing any difficulty and brought into service the production line.

    2012

    Repair and Assembly of the Tubes:  Transvaro  brought into service a production line for the repair and assembly of the Image Intensifier Tubes used in many of the products since its  establishment, through technology transfers.

    2013

    ICCD: Transvaro designed  the Image Intensifier Tube with CMOS Detector in 2013 through the project supported by TUBITAK and made it available. Research and Development studies were then initiated for the other products which incorporates this specific product.
